Collation of Controllers for the 48-Pulse VSC STATCOM for Reactive Power Mitigation and Voltage Regulation

This paper investigates the dynamic working of an innovative control method for a STATCOM based on a model that includes a VS (voltage source) GTO based 48 pulse converter for combined reactive power compensation and voltage stabilization of the electric network. The two innovative controller the D-q decoupled and The Auxiliary D-q decoupled with PWM are compared on the bases of Active power of the transmission line, Reactive power mitigation and voltage regulation. In MATLAB and Simulink platform we designed every component of this project for which power s/m block (of MATLAB) was put to use. Control systems The D-q decoupled and the Auxiliary D-q decoupled with PWM is designed using in Simulink, the STATCOM stratagem and power network components developed from the power system block set. Effectiveness of STATCOM stratagem linked to the 230-kV network is assessed. Digital simulation is used to thoroughly validate the suggested new control methods for the STATCOM.
