Expert system consideration in biomedical manufacturing environment

Rule-based programming concepts in the expert system environment and expert system building tools are discussed. A case study involving the conceptual application of an expert system in an area of process control is examined. In addition, pertinent concepts of the OPS5 expert-system-development environment, such as conflict resolution, working memory and external calls, are discussed.<>
