IoT enabled smart window:- novel switchable glass technology using Super Absorbent Polymer(SAP) and aqua driven mechanism

Switchable glass is a glass system that uses electric impulse to transform its visibility from opaque to transparent or translucent to transparent. Taking the cost into consideration, the fabrication process as well as the maintenance of the system is expensive. The motive of this paper is to exhibit a switchable glass technology that is inexpensive in terms of fabrication as well as maintenance. The system can be controlled using the physical switch method and the visibility parameters can be controlled from translucent to transparent using a mobile phone application, which makes the system IoT enabled. It uses an inexpensive combination of fully mature Super Absorbent Polymer(SAP) and water. The observability of the system is controlled using water flow. This proposed system acts as an inexpensive alternative to the electrical impulsive switchable glass. The Aqua mechanism consists of controlling the water flow which assists in varying the visibility of the system.
