Design and Development of Drone based Remote Controlled Honey Harvesting Machine

Manual honey harvesting is the traditional method. Collecting honey from higher elevations, such as hills, long trees, and so on, becomes more difficult. The manual method is inefficient and dangerous. To make honey harvesting easier without any manual interference, an effective harvesting method is required. If there is a remote honey-harvesting machine, it is easier to collect honey from the hives in the mountains. This technology eliminates the need for extractors to climb trees and collect honey. This method will reduce labour costs and take less time than the manual method. Also, it ensures the safety of the personnel involved. Since the honey is available in mountains and high places, it is difficult for humans to harvest the honey. There are numerous risks associated with those locations. This research work has created a remote controlled drone based machine for honey harvesting. The device will replace the traditional method of harvesting bee honey. As a result, it aids the extractor's role in conserving energy and time during harvesting, as well as increasing the efficiency of honey collection tools.
