A CoAP-based Decentralized Resource Discovery for IoT Network

This paper proposed the design and implementation of a framework that allows for the decentralized discovery of IoT resources. We discuss how to properly construct a 4-layer DHT-based P2P overlay network that supports the registration, discovery, and lookup of devices. A new multi-Chord ring structure with the Uniform Locality Preserving Hashing Function is used to realize the multi-attribute query and range query methods for resource discovery. We conducted comparative experiments in the Oversim to verify the improvement effect of our framework through comparison with the MAAN model.
