Increasing the Accuracy of Sound Signal Spectral Estimation According to the Properties of Hearing Analyzer

Audio signal is increasingly being used in the automobile industry. The article considers problems of matching the spectral estimation of sound information signal with the human auditory analyzer properties. It has shown that existing methods of spectral analysis of audio signals do not provide acceptable accuracy. The main requirements for the sound broadcast signal spectrum analyzer are formulated. Based on the multiple spectrum shift analysis method, a comparison of amplitude frequency response of “OPTIMOD” and “ARGO” audio processors is given showing the multi-band processing of the “OPTIMOD” audio processor. The possibility of sound system evaluation with the accuracy approaching human auditory analyzer properties is shown.
