The Coil Auto-lifting System of Intelligent Winding Machine

Traditional transformer coil production relies on manual with semi-automatic equipment for winding and up-layering. In this paper, an intelligent winding machine is designed to achieve close winding and automatic up-layering, using SCARA robot arm to place up-layering shims to improve the success rate of up-layering. The error compensation algorithm of the control system can reduce the error value by about 90% and increase the productivity by more than 3 times for coils with more than 10 layers. The experimental results show that the intelligent winding machine can complete the winding and automatic layer raising of coils in an efficient and automated way, and the error compensation algorithm can reduce the impact of the traditional technology errors, which has great practical and research value for the automation field.
