Study on a Method to Depict the Multi-Dimension Characterization of DC Voltage Sag

In regards to the DC distribution system (DCDS), the investigation of its voltage sag problem is of significance. In this paper, a feasible methodology to depict the multi-dimension characterization of DC voltage sag is proposed. Firstly, the multi-dimension characteristic indexes are established, and related definitions are conducted to describe the DC voltage sag. Then, the B-spline dyadic wavelet method is selected as the wavelet basis function, and the expected objective is to realize the waveform segmentation and characterization extraction of DC voltage sag. In terms of the DC voltage sags by different events and the DC voltage waveform segmentation, a detailed depicting of the multi-dimension characterization can be achieved. Simulation analysis and numerical calculation of different kinds of DC voltage sags are implemented, and the findings enable to well validate the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed approach, which lays a foundation for the future systematic evaluation of different DC voltage sags.
