Emerging ethical issues in bioengineering practice

Moral and ethical issues in medical technology are discussed. These include allocation of scarce resources, clinical trials of new devices and implants, conflict of interest, and human and animal experimentation. Suggestions for the improvement of ethics in these areas are included.<>
