The Study of the Application of the Emergency Locator Transmitter For In-Flight Distress Tracking for China Civil Aviation Safety

Due to the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)’s determination on performance-based flight tracking standard towards practical global flight-tracking solution after MH370 incident, COSPAS-SARSAT raises the Emergency Locator Transmitter for In-Flight Distress Tracking (ELT (DT)) project as next-generation technology research direction. This article analyzes the operation of ELT (DT) with China Mission Control Center (CNMCC), focusing on the difference between the Emergency locator transmitter (ELT) and ELT (DT) and prospects.
