Development of Route Finder System for Emergency Management in Buildings Based on Computer Simulation

The paper presents the results of developing a route finder system for emergency management in buildings based on computer simulation. A model and an algorithm for routes selection have been elaborated. Computer modeling has shown that it is possible to reduce the time of evacuation from a building by 41.85% due to the rational choice of routes for the movement of both fire brigades and evacuees. At the same time, the results of comparing the time of arrival of the fire brigade to the fire site showed that the use of the proposed approach when choosing routes of movement could reduce the time by 79.4% by ensuring the unimpeded movement of fire brigades.
