Features of Management and Assessment of Financial Stability of Metallurgical Enterprises

The key indicator that reflects the ability of an enterprise to pay for its obligations is financial stability. When assessing the financial stability of companies using existing methods (A.D. Sheremet, D. A. Endovitsky, G. V. Savitskaya, L. T. Gilyarovskaya and others), a situation arises when enterprises of various industries, according to established standards, are financially unstable, while carrying out successful activities and paying off their obligations on time. In this regard, the task is to consider the features of assessing financial stability on the example of enterprises of the metallurgical industry and to identify the normative values of financial coefficients for these companies. For the most accurate assessment, an analysis of the monthly dynamics of the financial stability of companies over 3 years was carried out. As a result of the conducted research, it was revealed that the assessment of the financial stability of metallurgical companies should be carried out on the basis of monthly accounting data, since this method allows us to assess the dynamics of the level of financial stability during the year, which may differ significantly from the value at the end of the year. Also, for the most accurate and realistic assessment of the financial stability of metallurgical companies, it is necessary to focus not on generally accepted standards, but on average industry values.
