Assessment of Reliability of Individual Units Electrical Equipment by Characteristics Power Supply Systems

To assess the reliability of any object, including the power supply system and its electrical equipment, two types of components are considered. These are the parameters and distribution functions of the mean time between failures and the duration of failures. If mean time between failures is hundreds of thousands of hours, then failures are defined in units of hours. Naturally, the operating time of the equipment overlap in time with each other, failures practically do not overlap. They cause interruptions in the power supply of technological machines of an industrial enterprise. The reliability of electrical equipment, and, accordingly, the power supply system, is influenced by both operating time and equipment failures that occur in the system. Therefore, assessing the reliability of a system (electrical equipment) by components, and even more so by components through general reliability parameters, is a relatively difficult task.
