An Integrated Learning of Communication and Presentation for Industrial Work through Seminar for Special Project Preparation Using Phenomenon-Based Learning Approach

This article aims at proposing a model of learning management applying the phenomenon-based learning approach with the objective of developing knowledge and skills of the students. The approach was applied to the integration of Seminar for Special Project Preparation and Communication and Presentation for Industrial Work courses to enhance communication and presentation skills that are necessary for the 21st century industrial technology and Industry 4.0 labor market. The study was conducted to explore phenomenon in real situation of special project preparation together with learning activities on the basis of cooperative problem-solving. The research found that the model of learning management helped the students construct their own knowledge, enhance communication, presentation, information technology, report writing, and cooperative problem-solving skills. Moreover, the students can develop systematic, critical, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
