Channel Characterization in V2I System inside a Tunnel in 5.8 GHz

Lately, with the arrival of 5G systems, the Vehicular Communication Systems has received substantial attention. They have as objective to help road safety and transport efficiency, both on roads and in urban traffic with reliable communication. Among them, it was chosen the Vehicle-to-Infrastructure communication system for analysis in the propagation channel inside of a tunnel. In order to understand better this kind of channel, measurements were performed in a tunnel with the transmission of a 5.8 GHz unmodulated carrier. Statistics and signal coverage are analyzed, respectively, through small scale fading signal and the fitting of some prediction models, in order to contribute with the characterization of channels in tunnel scenary.
