Formulation of Relationship in Bibliographic Networks Using Follow Model of Micro-Blogging

Follow Model as one of a few mathematical models for Micro-Blogging has been developed with 10 years. In the study of bibliographic networks, we propose an alternative logical formulation using Follow Model to describe the paper citation relationship. With this formulation, we interpret some scenarios of human social activities such as: if an author cites many papers of the authors from a group, he may also cite the paper of another author who is a relative of this group. We propose the citation prediction and query methods for bibliographic networks just as the similar activities in On-line Social Networks. By means of finding the citations of a book by Tim Berners-Lee and Mark Fischetti, the recommended model shows to be effective and efficient even in more sophisticated queries.
