A Method for Shaping Field in a Multilayer Medium

Shaping the distribution of electromagnetic field in a given target area, especially in the case of inhomogeneous mediums, is an interesting and challenging problem. And the multilayer medium, as an idealized model, is closer to the biological skin tissue than the random inhomogeneous medium. In this article, a method for shaping field in a multilayer medium is proposed. This approach is based on the angular spectrum decomposition and projection. To demonstrate the effectiveness, the numerical experiments of shaping 1-D fields ware conducted, and the full-wave simulation results shows the potential advantages of the proposed method.
