Symmetrical Multi Slot Terahertz 6G Communication Application Band Antenna Based on Butterfly Like Structure

In this paper, a symmetric multi slot terahertz microstrip antenna based on butterfly like structure is proposed. When only the main mode excitation is considered, the antenna is fed by microstrip line through the lumped port excitation. The input impedance matching is set to 50 Ω to obtain good matching characteristics. On the basis of the traditional bow tie slot, the shape of the bow tie slot is combined with the circular and semicircular patches, and is formed by the symmetrical combination of the rectangular slot and the circular slot. The antenna bandwidth and gain are effectively improved, and the current distribution in the radiation patch is improved, so that it has dual frequency characteristics and better directivity. The simulation results show that the antenna has an effective bandwidth of 33GHz (217GHz-250GHz), the relative bandwidth reaches 41.25%, and the maximum gain at the resonant frequency can reach 4.5dB. The working frequency band of the designed antenna can meet the requirements of terahertz frequency, especially the ultra wideband operation. It can be widely used in terahertz 6G communication band, and has many advantages, such as simple structure, miniaturization and easy manufacturing.
