Design and Implementation of Rooftop off Grid Solar Panel for Household Electricity Loads

Solar energy is a source of renewable energy that has been bountifully available in Indonesia, one of the means to harness solar energy is to transform it into electrical energy using a photovoltaic module called a solar power plant (PL TS). At this moment in time, all residential homes use the PLN network. The source of electrical energy provided by PLN is as much as possible to save electricity consumption by using a Rooftop solar photovoltaic panel. By the save-mode electrical energy, It will be necessary to design the implementation of Rooftop solar panels in favor of residential electricity loads. The research method uses photovoltaic panel planning, battery charging system planning, battery capacity planning, and inverter capacity planning. The rooftop off-grid solar photovoltaic system is designed for optimal load consumption so that the main load needs are achieved for 24 hours. PL TS design has a maj or function as the main electricity source and PLN as a backup for households who already have had energy from PLN. To figuring out the result of 100% necessity for electrical energy in residential homes require Charge Controller that uses MPPT 60 A technology and inverter with technical specifications; DC Input Voltage (nominal) 24 V/3000Watt. The results of voltage testing as output from solar panels reach the maximum voltage during the day from 10:00 to 13:00 and start to drop until 16:00.
