Grounding Fault Location Method of Distribution Network based on Regional Grid

The existing distribution network grounding fault location methods have the problem of unclear fault propagation process, which leads to low maximum load rate. A distribution network grounding fault location method based on regional grid is designed. According to the characteristics of zero neutral point voltage in normal operation of power grid, the types of grounding modes are identified, the transient characteristics are identified, the loop current oscillation modes of feeders are obtained, the fault propagation process is extracted by traveling wave fault location, the distance from fault point to line endpoint is calculated, the wavelet denoising model of distribution network is constructed, and the security threshold of fault area is quantified. The key fault points are located by regional grid, and the design of fault location method is realized. The experimental results show that: the average maximum load rate of the designed distribution network grounding fault location method is higher, which proves that the use value of the fault location method integrating regional grid is higher.
