Laboratory for Digital Technologies Testing and Skills Development of Professionals And Students

In the context of electrical installation digitalization, a new laboratory concept is currently being developed to include both newest technologies of primary equipment and new tools for operation, maintenance, remote control, and data processing. These tools based on AR and VR are increasingly complex, can be used for training purposes and can retrieve data from SCADA systems, offering an easier access to technical data, reducing the time of non-power supply, reducing the time related to maintenance, reducing human error etc. In this paper was developed an AR solution that includes 3D models of the electrical installation, technical specifications, maintenance instructions, decision diagrams that through the application indicate exactly the steps to be followed for operators in the substation and indications of the work areas or from where operators can take action / fix faults / view positions of electrical equipment, etc.
