Shunt Coefficient Calculation and Insulation Gap Design of Overhead Ground Wire

The selection of overhead ground wire and the reasonable design of insulation gap are based on the shunt coefficient. This paper establishes a line model suitable for different ground wire operation modes, and the node method is used to solve the shunt coefficient. Taking a 220kV line as an example, the results are compared with ATP/EMTP simulation results. Based on the algorithm, a calculation software is developed, and the shunt coefficient of optical-fiber composite overhead ground wire (OPGW) and the insulation gap voltage of ordinary ground wire are calculated in the case of ordinary ground wire with graded insulation, which provides references for the selection of overhead ground wire and the design of insulation gap.
