A Project-Oriented Teaching Mode of E-Commerce Courses Based on CDIO

Project-based teaching is commonly used in the higher vocational education. However, the random selection of projects leads to its lower effects. The CDIO (Conceive, Design, Implement, Operation) educational philosophy attaches more importance to projects and team work, and emphasizes allowing students to “learn by doing” throughout the entire process of a complete engineering project, which has been widely recognized by the engineering education community. Aiming at the conditions of higher vocational students and the teaching characteristics of E-Commerce courses, this paper analyzes the problems in project-based teaching, introduces the concept of CDIO education, and establishes a “project-oriented, student-centered, teacher-guided” project-based teaching model of E-Commerce courses in higher vocational colleges, aims to effectively improve the quality of project-based teaching in higher vocational E-Commerce courses.
