Direct Quadrate Modeling of a Direct Torque Control for a 3-Phase Induction Motor

This paper presents a Direct Quadrate (D-Q) model of a Direct Torque Control (DTC) for a 3-Phase Induction Motor (IM) using MATLAB Simulink. The impact of various loads on the 3-Phase IM were also studied and simulations were carried out using MATLAB Simulink. ) with an approximate frequency of 50Hz. The steady state estimated stator flux module fluctuates from the reference value with an error of 0.525% maximum ripple. Results obtained from the simulations using the proposed model indicate that the model gives a better performance in comparison with conventional Direct Torque Control models.
