Research on the Impact of Mergers and Acquisitions on Enterprise Innovation and Growth Based on the Stata Statistical Analysis Software

In the context of the new economic form and the post-epidemic era of the 21st century, companies have begun to gradually seek growth paths after realizing their own advantages or differentiated development. Mergers and acquisitions(M&A) become the priority strategic choice of many enterprises by virtue of the increasing profits, capital, competitiveness and popularity. With the help of Stata statistical analysis software, this paper analyzes the data of a large number of M&A cases in the United States during 1978–2007 to explore the characteristics of enterprises and industries adopting M&A strategies, as well as the future development trend after M&A. This paper tries to find out whether M&A strategic activities can help enterprises to achieve different dimensions of growth in terms of scale, capital and output value.
