Analysis of Geographic Position Mobility Oriented Routing Protocol for FANETs

Flying Ad-hoc Network (FANET) is a multi-UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) network. FANET uses important protocols which are used for dynamic communication. Due to the extremely unpredictable environment, unfortunately, communication between UAVs generally experiences packet loss. Overcoming problems in ad-hoc networks without a proper protocol is not simple. The existing networking protocols are further extended with the new concepts and enhanced technology to overcome most of the communication issues. In this paper, we discussed about a Geographic Position Mobility Oriented Routing (GPMOR) and comparison with other types of protocols. GPMOR is a protocol which on various conditions like high-speed UAV's, density and uses Gaussian - Markov mobility model. It is one of the greatest techniques used by other protocols also called prediction technique which helps this protocol finding the future position of nodes so that it can transfer data to that node which is adjacent to the destination. Further, the simulation result shows that GPMOR can provide effective and accuracy in the network in terms of end-to-end delay (in ms), throughput (in kbps), packet delivery ratio (in %), and packet loss.
