Intelligent Irrigation System for Temperature and Moisture Monitoring

As we know Agriculture plays the major role in our country's economy. But it is not always easy to cultivate various crops at a time. Irrigation plays a vital role in agriculture. Not all crops need same amount of water some crops like rice, millet, sugar beet, and soybean need more amount of water throughout their growing period. Considering irrigation takes a huge amount of water and henceforth a paramount necessity with the help of a computer enabled IoT powered system that will save up to 65%. The model seeks in reducing time while eliminating issues such as regular supervision. It also aids in water management by proactively monitoring the amount of water used for cultivation based on their requirements. With the help of smart Industry 4.0 powered monitoring systems, we can reduce the water wastage level to less that 10%. From our continuous experiments under various environment conditions and temperature levels like 60 degrees, 72 degrees we have found that our model works efficiently and in turn helps the famers. The basic idea from the model proposed is to develop an intelligent irrigation system that predicts amount of water needed to the specific crops and provide water according to that and it also lower the wastage of water due to excessive supply.
