Research and Prospect of Charting Near Chang 'E-3 Landing Site

The LOLA lidar altimeter data of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter mission is the most accurate and dense laser altimeter data. The LRO NAC image has the highest resolution (0.5-2m). Based on the lunar remote sensing data and photogrammetry technology, many global and regional image jigsaw, orthophoto, and digital elevation model mapping products have been produced in each exploration mission. In this paper, the established standard of lunar mapping data and control network is reviewed, the mapping of the area near the Chang 'e-3 landing site is studied, and the development direction of automatic processing of massive lunar exploration data and fine mapping in the future is discussed.
