A Comprehensive Planning and Analysis of Coordinated Charging Scheduling for On-Road Electric Vehicles

In this paper, a framework for a comprehensive analysis for optimal charging scheduling of Electric Vehicles (EV) by considering Grid to Vehicle (G2V), Vehicle to Grid (V2G) and neutral mode of operation is proposed. This plays a significant role in increasing the efficiency of grid and as well as in providing economic benefits to the Parking Lot operators (PLO) and EV owners. Based on that, a new “Multi-level Coordinated Charging Scheduling (MLCCS)” is proposed to maximize the profit from daily charging scheduling performed by PLO along with the EV owner. A lucrative policy is incorporated with the proposed algorithm, which has a favorable cost component and penalized cost component. After performing the charging scheduling (at half hour's interval) during the parking lot operating hours for a whole day, the benefits of the lucrative policy over other conventional policies have been critically observed. Besides this, the Sensitivity Analysis of this policy is observed with the seasonal variation. Later the robustness of MLCCS has been verified using nonparametric statistical analysis.
