Classification of Citrus Type Based on Leaf Image Using Shape Extraction and GLCM with the Decision Tree Method

Citrus is a fruit plant originating from China and has been spread both naturally grown and cultivated throughout the world. Citrus are classified into three types, namely fresh fruit citrus which are usually consumed directly, functional citrus which are used for pharmaceutical raw materials and cosmetic, and third is type of citrus for food (limes)) that are used as an additional ingredient in food processing. Plants have three important components, namely stems, leaves and roots. Leaves are part of plants that can be used as to determine the variety and species of plants. This study focused on 5 types of citrus dishes that can be recognized by their variety and type through the leaves. Structural recognition of laeve was done by using the image processing method through leaf images. The steps can be done by identifying the input object image to analyze the structure of the citrus leaf cooking using shape feature extraction and GLCM. Attribute components taken from shape features are diameter, perimeter, area, width, roundness and slenderness. While in the GLCM feature the attributes taken are ASM, IDM, correlation, contrast, and entropy from 4 angular directions, namely 0 degree, 135 degree, 45 degree and 90 degree. from the 26 attributes obtained, then managed on the Rapid miner tool to get the results of the classification.
