Computational Modelling of Wind Turbine Lifetime

The reliability of the bearing structure of a vertical wind turbine under the action of random load caused by wind is investigated in the article. The object of study is the effect of fatigue on the lifetime of the structure with the specified parameters. A parametric design model of the structure was constructed, in which the finite element method in a three-dimensional formulation was used to calculate the stress-strain state. The kinetic equation of damage accumulation in the probabilistic formulation was solved to determine the lifetime of the structure. The result of this work is a program that calculates the dependence of the resource of the structure on the weather conditions of the area, which determine the probabilistic parameters of the multicycle load. To see the impact of the weather, the work presented the results in two cities, graphs and tables were shown.
