Resource utilization improvement in LTE networks; with a case study

One of the biggest challenges of mobile operators is providing high quality multimedia services. As a case study, Telecom of Kosova (TK) will be used, which offers 2G, 3G and 4G services. Recently, due to technical limitations and lack of investment in technology, degradation in the overall performance has been observed. Thus, it is required to seek for creative and professional solutions for improving resource utilization and the overall network performance. This paper evaluates the performance of some selected key parameters of Long Term Evolution (LTE) network deployed at TK. The number of active users in a network is an important factor, which directly affect the network performance, therefore it is important to address. Moreover, LTE attach request, Average LTE UEs (User Equipment's) connected and number of PDN (Packet Data Network) sessions are other important parameters, which will be considered in this paper.
