Sensor-Based Self-Rescue Alarm System for the Prevention of Child Drowning

In recent years, due to parents' negligence, child drowning deaths are a common occurrence. Thus, we must solve the problem of child drowning accidents. This article discusses and analyzes the present situation of child drowning. According to the facts, the concept of a sensor-based, self-rescue alarm system to prevent child drowning is raised. This solution uses Internet of Things technologies, such as heart rate, pressure, and immersion time sensors, as well as single-chip microcomputers. Via mobile apps, it can monitor relevant information, including the real-time heart rate of children, depth of water, and immersion time, to provide accurate drowning warnings and automatic gas alarms, among other functions.
