Deep Learning Classification Experiments on the Texas Colorado River Delta

The Colorado River of Texas is the longest river within Texas. The evolution of its delta is completely controlled by human intervention. To map the evolution of the delta, this study investigates suitable classification methods by WorldView 2 images. Deep learning methods such as UNet recently have made great progress in remote sensing image classification. sensing. This paper explored good practices of UNet remote sensing application for the estuary and coastal environment. This paper also discussed data augmentation for remote sensing.
