An optimized packet gathering scheme for sink transpose and data aggregation in WSN

Wireless sensor network is one among the thrust research area in the wireless communication. Due to its sensing nature, it has been deployed in many application scenarios. The increasing technological advancements such as the Internet of Things (IoT) and much more, wireless sensor networks pave the way for many research dimensions. In a sensor network, sink node is available in cluster network, which needs to control the entire communication process from cluster member node to cluster head node. Data aggregation is one among the research paradigm in such networks. Sink node is not aconstant one, it gets updated its location anywhere in the network. It is also known as base station node, in which some cluster member nodes are out of coverage range from the cluster, so that they make an inefficient communication. Hence packets are loosed during communication time. The proposed protocol scheme is used to improve packet gathering for each cluster head that is available in wireless sensor network. The node coverage level is monitored and it obtains the decision for packet gathering assessment level that is measured at every time slot used for a particular node to perform communication. The gathering assessment is low which makes inefficient communication, otherwise, efficient communication is approved, to increase the lifetime of the network, and reduces end to end delay. This protocol makes use of on-demand (or) reactive routing strategy. An adaptive Hyperelliptic curve cryptography technique is applied for secure transmission of data over the wireless channel. The proposed protocol is implemented using NS2.
