Moving target detection and velocity estimation based on spaceborne video SAR

To improve the detection probability and limited minimum detection speed in the process of moving target detection for single-channel space-borne SAR. A method of moving target detection and parameter estimation based on space-borne video SAR was proposed in this paper. the spaceborne radar is operated in the spotlight mode for an extended period of time while taking video. Firstly, reasonable frame period is selected according to the speed range of the target to be detected. Then the position and velocity vector of the moving target image are detected and estimated based on the SAR video image. Finally, the quantitative relationship between the motion parameters of the moving target image and the actual motion parameters is deduced according to the SAR moving target imaging theory. and the moving target detection, location and velocity estimation based on the video SAR are realized. By extending the time dimension of information acquisition, the detection probability of moving objects is effectively improved. Finally, the effectiveness of the method is verified by computer simulation.
