Implementation of an Automated Interlocking Mechanism with Digital Logic Interface Utilizing VERILOG

A completely automated interlocking mechanism with a user-friendly interface is proposed here to prevent unwanted entrance at the information center in any large-scale manufacturing facility or warehouse. The overall system consists of three logic units: 1) keypad and password setup unit, 2) code security logic to compare the user's input with the actual password, 3) output locking mechanism where a positive voltage will trigger the lock to be opened. The whole circuit is constructed with the help of a CAD tool. To justify the system's accuracy, simulation is conducted in VERILOG HDL, and the vector waveform is represented in the paper.
