Research and application evaluation of the solid source of oxygen in the transport aircraft

Transport aircraft oxygen system can be divided into aircrew oxygen system, crew oxygen system and portable oxygen system. The crew oxygen system is continuously equipped on the transport with the lower frequency of use on the higher frequency of freightage than personal transportation which leading to high compensation loss. Especially in the oxygen phase, the crew oxygen system may have security risks using oxygen at high pressure. The purpose of this study was to find a solid source of oxygen belonging to the crew's individual equipment when crew carried in the condition of personal transportation only and took off the transport aircraft. Isolated chemical autogenic oxygen can be used in hypoxic environment at low pressure to protect the oxygen supply in hypoxic environment at high altitude through the present analysis of the oxygen system in aviation and physical performance test of solid oxygen and human physiology test in hypobaric chamber. The results of this study and experiment indicate that the using of the solid source of oxygen equipped on crew as a portable device can reduce the weight of transport aircraft oxygen system and maintain of oxygen source.
