Knowledge Flows Approach for Design of a Social Media Software Architecture

Software architectures have been defined which consider design decisions regarding the structure, elements, relationships, patterns, or principles that are necessary for software development. However, some methodologies for the design of architectures that support the discovery of social information still lack the knowledge needs of the environment of social networks and processes, techniques, and tools of social media. This article presents an approach to knowledge flows, for the definition of an integral model that considers as main elements a Knowledge Audit, the identification and modeling of sources and types of knowledge, the specification of technological tools associated with four processes of creation of knowledge that provide support to social media processes and the specification of strategies of a Knowledge Management system, for the design of software architecture based on social media.
