Smart Medical Telemetry Acquisition System

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a new technology which is rapidly gaining popularity. It has a large number of smart devices that can communicate with each other through the internet. IoT devices are used to make people's lives simpler in several areas. The Message Queuing Telemetry Transport (MQTT) communication protocol is proposed in this paper for real-time acquisition of medical data to the server. Different portable devices (Sensors) in medical applications have been used for measuring vital signs (Temperature, Blood Pressure, Respiration rate, Pulse rate, Electrocardiogram etc.) of livestock. These sensors will give a series of information or data about the vital signs. These intelligent devices are used to collect data from various sensors, which are used in healthcare to assess a live stock's health. Here, the proposed work measures the temperature of livestock using novel non-invasive Infrared (IR) thermometry technique, after these measured temperature values will be automatically stored in the server with the help of Raspberry Pi with necessary timings using Bio-inspired mimosa pudica algorithm. This data was uploaded to the cloud, and then uploaded the measured data to an MQTT server. This system allows the doctor to keep an eye on his patient at any time and from any place. Security will be provided by the MQTT and it is also completed by interfacing web-based online monitoring. This work concludes the enhancement of data quality and increasing the security of data transfer using the MQTT protocol.
