Optimal evaluation of shading components for educational buildings in hot and humid areas

The lighting quality of educational buildings needs to be improved caused the most classrooms show that intense light near the windows but insufficient in the interior. The average daily learning time of primary and secondary school students is more than 9 hours, which puts forward higher requirements for lighting, including illumination and daylighting uniformity. In some cases of leading edge, using reflector as shading method can shade and improve the uniformity of lighting. Taking Guangzhou as the breakthrough point, this paper studies the shading and daylighting problems of educational buildings in hot and humid areas. Using grasshopper software to analyze the climate in Guangzhou, optimize the reflective sunshade component, not only improve the lighting quality, but also enhance the ventilation and heat dissipation. Moreover, the optimal evaluation is determined by the illumination analysis of Ecotect software. The research results actively explore the combination of architectural design and energy-saving means, providing a convenient sunshade method for classrooms in Guangzhou, which has reference for high temperature and high humidity areas.
