Centralized Power Monitoring & Management System of an Institution Based on Android App

The continuous advancement of human civilization has led to the increased use of utility tools and devices driven by electrical power due to its convenient form. Thus, with the increasing use of electrical energy, wastage has also increased. A significant portion of the energy is being misused every day due to faulty appliances and human negligence. Conserving this valuable resource will not only cut the overall consumption but also will aid us in reducing the total demand. In this research, the goal was to design an innovative and automated system that will maintain track of and control the power consumption of the connected appliances at an institution. In addition, the user can remotely control the electrical appliances and access necessary information about the system status via both Android App and the Central Computer. Therefore, the user can obtain a clear view of Power Consumption data and minimize their unnecessary or faulty uses. Implementing this system will significantly reduce the overall power consumption.
