Low Profile Frequency Reconfigurable Antenna For ISM Band Applications

Now a days, there are lot of developments in modern telecommunications system. In these systems, reconfigurable antenna can radiate more than one pattern at different frequencies. Reconfigurable antenna can independently adjust its frequency and radiation properties to meet changes in operating requirements. Reconfigurable antennas deliver same throughput as multi-antenna system. In this paper, a low-profile frequency antenna for industrial, scientific and medical band transmission applications is used (ISM). The comprehensive dimension of an antenna is 40mm*16mm*1.6mm. The proposed antenna has been built and implemented using the dielectric FR4 substratum of 4.3. FR4 substrate, an emanating dielectric material which has attained deliberation in recent few years as a possible high-performance microwave versatile substrate and packaging material. They are popular due to its low cost, low profile, compact size, and light weight. To attain frequency reconfiguration, two PIN diodes are applied. The proposed antenna is employed to attain six distinct operating frequency. The antenna can operate between the frequency range of 1GHz to 5GHz. The design and simulation are done using CST software.
