College English Paradigm in the Ubiquitous Learning Era: A Literature Review

Ubiquitous learning (u-learning) is an expansion of e-learning and mobile-assisted learning (m-learning). This paper is aimed to provide a review of the ubiquitous teaching paradigm within the specific area of College English as a foreign language. This article discusses, analyses and summarizes the basic concepts, theoretical basis, research approaches and points out the tendency of College English paradigm in the u-leaning era. The findings show that China’s College English learning has entered into the u-learning era with big data and AI+ as the two main features. The future researches are recommended to focus on the effectiveness of smart learning mode based on ecological theory.
