A Method for Extracting DEM From CSAR Sub-aperture Correlation

Because of CSAR can obtain the characteristics of the total scattering information of the target area. This paper proposes a method that only needs single-circle echo data to survey the terrain of the observation scene and get the DEM. The echo data is divided into several arcs, and the arcs' correlation is used to obtain the terrain undulations of the observation area. This paper proposed a method to get the observation scenes' terrain undulations using the geometric deformation and correlation between the sub-aperture images. The proposed method is validated by the CSAR data at Ku band.
