Research on Mechanical Fault Diagnosis Technology of Isolating Switch Based on Electric Torque

Isolating switch is a high-voltage switchgear used in the power system, but because of its large number, wide distribution and frequent faults, if the fault type cannot be diagnosed in time and accurately and corrected, it will have a greater impact on the safety of the power grid. Therefore, it is imperative to propose new technologies for fault diagnosis of disconnectors. This paper focuses on how to intelligently diagnose mechanical faults of isolating switches, and proposes a mechanical fault diagnosis technology based on electric torque detection. By comparing and analyzing the operating torque-rotation curve of the GW4A-126 isolating switch in the normal state and the stuck state, it shows that this technology can accurately determine the type and degree of mechanical failure. This technology can provide reference for the installation, debugging, overhaul and maintenance of the isolation switch.
