Using Big Data Analytics on Health Industry Development: The Empirical Intellectual Property Analysis from Stem Cell Therapy

Stem cells have become indispensable in tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications, which provides a suitable opportunity to observe stem cell therapy from technology development. This research aims to evaluate the developmental trends of the stem cell therapy industry. Results show that the diagram of mutual citation of patents provides the relationships between patent citations and specific applications via network structure. Finally, implications and developmental strategies are proposed for future cell therapy industry development.
