Ponseti Corrector: Facilitating Cure for Clubfoot Disorder

Ponseti corrector is a device that can be embedded onto a ponseti shoe to ensure that the limitations of the brace can be countered. The device is integrated with a user-friendly mobile application to notify the parent whenever the shoe isn’t placed correctly. It has touch sensor embedded in it to check for touching of foot and water sensor for detecting any amounts of perspiration indicating discomfort caused to child. This data from the sensors would also help the doctor associated to rectify the changes present in the positioning of the shoe leading to a faster and more efficient recovery of the infant. Due to the long hours of having to wear the ponseti shoe, the infant often gets irked, prolonged discomfort can also lead to anxiety. This device also has a feature to detect at what stage the infant is going through immense discomfort.
