Development of Energy Efficient Regulators-Compensators for AC Systems

In this paper analysis of the electromagnetic processes of two converters is presented: a boost reactive power compensator and a multi-zone AC voltage regulator. Both schemes can be presented in single-phase and three-phase versions. For both converters, the principle of operation is described and a research is carried out through the analysis of electromagnetic processes under simulation in the MatLab/Simulink software package. An experiment was carried out for a single-phase multi-zone AC voltage regulator, showing the complete coincidence of the received characteristics with the theory.
