The IEE Council has elected Sir Gordon Radley, KCB, CBE, PhD, CEng, FIEE, an Honorary Fellow ‘for his outstanding contributions to the science and art of telecommunication and to the provision and management of national and international communication services; and for his work in directing the industrial application of technological advances in the fields of automation and computation, and of electronic valves.‘
